Did you know that just like humans, guinea pigs don’t produce their own Vitamin-C and need it added to their daily diet? If they don’t receive the proper amount (talk to your vet to see how much your furry friend needs), they become vulnerable to developing scurvy which is sadly a common and painful cause of death among guinea pigs.
As Vitamin C is essential to the health of your Guinea Pig and while our Pellets are a wonderful choice, our Pellets do not contain Vitamin C. The way our Pellets are stored doesn't allow them to retain the Vitamin C they need.
You’ll want to give them their required Vitamin C in the form of supplement tablets, drops, or certain vegetables to ensure they stay healthy.
We don’t use any harmful fillers like:
- Corn
- Soybean Meal
- Canola Meal
All of which can be hard on the digestive systems of small animals. These types of fillers can cause weight gain and intestinal blockages. We only use top-quality ingredients to improve your small pet’s quality of life and longevity.
