What and How Much Should You Be Feeding Your Rabbit

Finding and sorting through crazy charts, conflicting information, and worst of all, pulling out your calculator just to figure out how much food you should be buying for your rabbit is annoying.

When buying hay for your rabbit, the most common issues are:

Buying too much hay at one time:

  • Placing your rabbit at risk of eating hay that has gone stale or potentially become moldy.
  • Is a waste of money if your rabbit doesn't eat all the hay.

Buying too little hay, which causes you to run out and:

  • Places your rabbit at risk of skipping a meal.
  • Places you in the position where you have to buy sub-par hay from a local store that’s most likely been sitting on the shelf for awhile slowing turning to dust.

What about other foods like pellets, vegetables, or fruits? How often I can feed them to my rabbit?

All these questions is why we have made the calculator below, an easy place for you to determine how much, how often, and what to feed your adult rabbit.  Enjoy!
